This year’s EGR Marketing and Innovation Awards were held virtually last week with Mecca scooping TWO awards!
Innovation in Mobile and Tablet for the Mecca Bingo App and Bingo Marketing Campaign for Mecca Dream Come True.
Mecca Dream Come True was the first truly integrated promotional campaign with colleagues from across the business feeding in ideas, aligning plans and dedicating time to make it a success. At its heart was player engagement and driving that sense of community, excitement and inclusiveness. The judges commented that the team did a “great job at capturing the spirit of bingo players” and loved the Mecca Me Over makeovers and the fact customers were offered incredible money can’t buy prizes. This was a massive team effort with everyone working so hard to get the project off the ground last year.
The second award was for the Mecca Bingo app, which has been constantly improving over the past few years to give an increasingly smooth and fun experience when playing bingo or slots on a phone or tablet. Plus, there’s some fantastic exclusive rooms and features on the app which the judges said were the “best in class” and acknowledging that we’re “receptive to the needs” of our mobile customers.
